- Day Tours: Ferries depart daily from Pier 33 starting at 8:40 AM, with departures every half hour until 3:50 PM.
- Night Tours: Available Tuesday through Saturday, with departures at 5:55 PM, 6:30 PM, and 7:05 PM.
- Return Ferries: Depart from Alcatraz Island approximately every half hour. The final return ferry times are 6:30 PM for Day Tours, and 9:25 PM for Night Tours.
Best Times to Visit:
- Time of Day: Morning tours (8:40 AM to 11:30 AM) are generally less crowded, offering a more serene experience.
- Days of the Week: Weekdays, especially Mondays to Thursdays, tend to have fewer visitors compared to weekends.
- Seasons: The least crowded months are January, February, and March. However, be prepared for cooler and potentially rainy weather during these months.

How to Reach Pier 33:
- By Public Transit
- By Car/Ride Sharing

Muni F-Line Streetcar: Board at Market Street & The Embarcadero, heading north along the waterfront. Alight at Bay Street and walk across the street to Pier 33.
BART: Take any BART line to the Embarcadero Station. Exit onto Market Street, walk east to The Embarcadero, then board the F-Line streetcar as above.

From the South (Highway 101 North): Take the 4th Street exit, merge onto Bryant Street, follow to The Embarcadero, turn left, and continue north to Pier 33.
From the North (Golden Gate Bridge): Take the Marina Boulevard exit, follow Marina Blvd. to Bay Street, turn left onto Bay Street, and continue to The Embarcadero. Turn right onto The Embarcadero to reach Pier 33.
From the East (Bay Bridge): Take the Fremont Street exit, turn left onto Fremont Street, follow to Howard Street, turn right onto Howard Street, follow to The Embarcadero, turn left onto The Embarcadero, and continue north to Pier 33.
Parking: Limited parking is available near Pier 33. It’s advisable to use public transportation due to limited and expensive parking options.
Ride-Sharing & Taxis: Services like Uber, Lyft, and traditional taxis can drop passengers directly at Pier 33. Enter “Pier 33 Alcatraz Landing” as your destination.

Operator: Alcatraz City Cruises, the official ferry provider.
Departure: Ferries depart from Pier 33 to Alcatraz Island.
Duration: Approximately 15 minutes one-way.
